Then and now, about 70 years apart
The Typ 935, Skoda’s streamliner Tatra wasn’t the only Czechoslovak brand that experimented with streamlining and rear engined cars in the thirties. Skoda built several prototypes with the 1935 Type 935 as the most striking design. In several aspects, its design could rivalise with Tatra. The Type 935, of which two units were built, for instance featured a two-litre water-cooled in-line four cylinder mid-engine, reducing overhang. Disadvantage was the difficult engineaccess though.
