Dakar 2016: Jaroslav Valtr best Tatra in 8th spot
With Jaroslav Valtr finishing 8th overall and Matin Kolomy 16th overall, the Buggyra team came home as the most successful Tatra team. The Bonver Tatra Team performed well, Arthur Ardavichus just missing the top ten, Tomas Vratny finishing 17th and the handicapped driver Llovera finishing 34th.

In today’s stage, stage 12, oil leaked on the brakes of Gert Huzink’s Tatra and the brakes caught fire, leading to a complete burn down of the Dutch Tatra truck. The crew escaped unhurt.

However, the gap between him and his countryman Andrey Karginov has dropped down to only 9 seconds. Pieter Versluis in third lies more than 5 minutes behind the stage leader.
