Czech Aleš Loprais and his “snouted” Tatra took the lead at CP1 (km 28.7) ahead of Dutchman Pieter Versluis and his Man. There was a gap of 1′08″ between the two men, who are followed by Gerard de Rooy’s Iveco (+1′09″) and Ayrat Mardeev’s Kamaz (+1′16″). Martin Kolomý and his Tatra lie in fifth place (+1′19″), with Eduard Nikolaev in sixth (+1′22″). Tomas Vratny was 12th, Artur Ardavichus 3oth. At the wheel of the second Iveco, Hans Stacey is seventh in the provisional classification (+1′24″). Not long later, Kolomy stopped for over 10 minutes, but continued however.
At the finish, it was however Ayrat Mardeev (Kamaz) who finished 1st with Aleš Loprais (Tatra) 2nd, 10 seconds adrift. Van Vliet (MAN) came home 3rd, 21″ slower than today’s winner. Arthur Ardavichus finished 16th.
