Tatra wins unofficial biggest exhaust pipes in the Goodgwood pits competition

The Tatra T603 from the former Czechoslovakia easily won the unofficial biggest exhaust pipes in the pits competition, they are attached to an air cooled V8. The car qualified a respectable 8th for both rounds of the St Mary’s Trophy with John Haugland and Arne Berg driving in the first and second races respectively.

Here are some pix of the September 1-2 Beskydy rally. The rally attracted about 30 entrants, including several pre-war-Tatras, TVCC’s T 70- fire truck, Leo Loprais’ T 70, Bomumil Suchy’s T 87, Ivo Slezak’s T 54, several Tatraplans and larger numbers of T 603s and T 613s and even a T 623.

Czech State attorney rejects Tatra CEO’s complaint

Brno/Koprivnice, North Moravia, Sept 5 (CTK) – Czech state attorney Jan Petrasek yesterday rejected Tatra lorry maker chief Ronald Adams’ complaint against his prosecution over alleged corruption, Tatra’s spokesman Vladimir Bystrov told CTK.
