After the Concours dÉlegance Het Loo 2010 the German classic car magazine Motor Klassik contacted me as they wanted to do an article on the T77a. They have a monthly article on classic car restorations and “ if I could tell them details on the restoration of my T77a?” Yes I could. “And do you have restoration photos?” Yes, of course.
Last october they visited the Netherlands where we talked hours and hours. The photographer took an endless number of photos at standstill in the garage, in front of the garage and me driving the T 77a on secondary roads, the photographer in a car on a parrallel road.
Last december I looked through the author’s text and also mailed hinm that the T77a on the NEC’s TRUK stand had been chosen Car of the Show. The Germans used this for the heading of the T77a article.
Today I got a copy of the latest Motor Klassik and the result is very satisfying. Six pages, 6 restoration photos, 12 other photos. A real tribute to Ledwinka’s masterpiece.
Cannot complain about automotive press attention these days. Where Motor Klassik did a restoration story, the Dutch magazine Klassiek en Techniek will have – in a series of men and their classic car passion – a story on Tatra and your editor. It will be published in the next issue, nr 155.
