Sik Way rally: Loprais 5th in 2nd stage

First ever stage win for Nikolaev

26-year-old Eduard Nikolaev clocked the fastest time of the day’s special earning him his first major victory in a cross-country rally. The young Kamaz driver managed to outpace title holder Firdaus Kabirov by 30” and Vladimir Chagin by 40”, quite a performance! After yesterday’s KAMAZ 1-2-3-4, this stage 2 was not as triumphant with Franz Hechter (MAN) capturing fourth position, at 3’22 while Ales Loprais (Tatra) finished just behind at 3’28.
